Dynamic Web Pages from a Database
on the Internet.
We've provided a demonstration that accesses a database residing on our Internet web
server. You can query a list of data records and then be able to see the details of each
item. The web pages are created "on the fly" when you select the item. Try the photo database demo by clicking here or try the pseudo art database by clicking here. (The images in the photo database are the same ones in the
photography section of this site. The pseudo art images have no real relation to the data
in the pseudo art database - this is just a demo.)
We can write these applications and give you the capability to make changes to the
database yourself. You can add or delete items, change prices etc. from your web browser.
It's that simple to make changes to your website.
We have several clients that now have databases that they add, delete or change records themselves on their office PCs. With the software we've provided, they then run a custom program that will generate custom web pages in seconds. Then they upload the new or changed pages to their internet hosting server. County of Kauai - Office of Emergency Permitting
When Hurricane Iniki hit Kauai on September 11, 1992, an estimated 10,000 structures were damaged. The Office of Emergency Permitting (OEP) was created to review plans and inspect the rebuilding efforts. The island's existing mainframe based permit tracking system was soon overwhelmed. Silver Software, Inc. was hired to design, create, and install a database program to track permitting applications and building inspections.
Within a month of first contacting Silver Software, Inc., the custom Paradox application was installed, training completed, and OEP employees were using the application seven days a week. The OEP continues to rely on this flexible custom application.
Aston Hotels & Resorts - Wholesale Contracting Application
Aston's thirty some hotel properties spread throughout the islands have a myriad of room types that are sold are varying prices depending on the time of year and the specific wholesale travel agent. Silver Software, Inc. wrote a custom Paradox application for Aston to satisfy complex pricing structures and detailed reporting and contracting needs. This application has facilitated data entry and created new informational reports previously unavailable.
Ocean Activities Center - Activity Sales and Reservations
Ocean Activities Center (OAC) is Maui's largest tourist activity provider. They sell their own boat trips as well as most of the other activities available on Maui. Silver Software, Inc. wrote a Paradox based point of sale application for OAC that allows remote (hotel based) sales agents to book trips and make real-time boat reservations. Voucher printing, sales tracking, A/R, A/P, employee sales and commissions, trust accounting, and many other features have keep OAC the leader in Maui's activity sales.
